Online poker operators no longer have to pay for licenses and taxes in France?

The Court of Toulouse has decided on a case involving Jean-Pierre Gleizes, in which he is accused of organizing private poker competitions in public places without a license to do that, and the court has decided on his behalf by concluding that the Texas Hold'em poker is not a game of chance.

The decision was made by the court after hearing several witnesses as champions of bridge, cahmpions of chess, a math teacher and a professional poker player, with this decision and if the French government does not change the law, operators of online poker no longer have to pay taxes and licenses, as they only apply to games of chance.

The ARJEL (L'Autorité de regulation des jeux en ligne) has already reacted to this news in an interview with Le Monde admitting that the law must be allery as well as the current system does not work also does not fit. Recall that in June PokerStars admitted leaving the French market due to high tax burden.
